St Swithun’s Way Walk & Run 2017
When: 7th May 2017Back to events index
We would love you to join us once again for our annual St Swithun’s Way Walk and Run!
Treloar’s is located along St Swithun’s Way, an ancient path once used by pilgrims travelling to Winchester which follows some of Hampshire’s most beautiful countryside paths.
Choose to walk or run the 5-mile route from Treloar’s to Bentley or carry on to Farnham and complete the 10-mile route. The first 5 miles to Bentley are mainly flat or gently undulating through meadows, woodland and pretty villages, ideal for families with young children. The second half, Bentley to Farnham, includes a long hilly section with stunning views over the surrounding countryside for those looking for more of a challenge!
Entry for either distance is £10, and the 10-mile challenge includes a bacon butty at the finish. Cakes and refreshments will be available for a small donation at the 5 mile point and water and bananas/energy bars will be available along the route. Buses will be available for the return journey.
The walk registration is from open 9:15am and the walk will begin at 10am. The run registration is open from 10:05am to start at 11am.
We hope to see you there!
“I love taking part in the St. Swithun’s Walk and Run because the route takes in some really beautiful countryside and you get fantastic support and encouragement along the way. The event is suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities and I would encourage anyone who’d like to spend a Sunday doing something social, scenic and worthwhile to get involved.”
Fran, St Swithun’s Runner 2016
Please note: unfortunately the route is not wheelchair friendly
